    What charolais bull to use?

If you goal is in the end to produce club calves then I would lean hard to Troubador from Kris Black.  While he is a 3/4 and not a purebred he will sire much more style, look, and bone then more commercial oriented Char bulls.

    sexed bull semen

You can flush with sexed semen but your embryo recovery is about 40-50% of normal....same with conception rate.  During the centerfuge process there is some damage done to motility.  We flushed a cow this spring to sexed By-Product semen and recovered 11 grade ones and were very pleased with that.

    Aborting cows

If you abort 4 months into pregnancy you will be adding a lot of complication....ask your vet but I would not reccomed it.

    Matt Lautner's Bull Chinook

He wasn't freezing this spring, semen was too immature.  Since then Nathan Rhoades of Rhoades Cattle Co. bought Matt's interest out, the bull ran with cows this June/July and now is freezing high quality semen at Great Lakes Sire Service.

    Kalmbach feeds

Depends on your goals and ingredients you have available to mix with.  If you are feeding a lot of calves and want to tweek the formulation as you go and have good ingredients to mix with then the Nutribase is a good avenue, you will need to be able to source cottonseed hulls and barley later...

    Kalmbach feeds

It is a decent feed, we use there creep and starter feed.  Watch for consistency, this has been my biggest concern.  If you have access to Show-Rite I would go that direction for growing and finishing.

    Grizzly

Here is a Grizzly x Highlander we sold, she was a tick slower growing but came on late....good attitude, we will breed him again to the right cows.

    Estrus detection aids

Estrotechs r what we use, watch for tail swating and placement as this can give a false heat.  Prep the cow right and they stay on good.

thoughts on what to flush her to

If u are looking only for heifers I would us GCC Wizard sexed semen....15 million cells total.  He will add both Maine and Simmi and make a nice cow family to breed clubby, should soften em up well.  Using sexed semen likely will result in less embryos but if u are only putting in a few a year u...

    Simmi/Clubby bulls

Yes, Matt carries it and owns him with Rhoades Cattle of Indiana.  He is gonna add a ton of power and look with hair, structure and a great cow family behind him.  His mother is getting set up to flush as we speak.

    Simmi/Clubby bulls

Of course I am biased but to do the things you are descriping hands dow use Matt Lautners Chinook.

    simmi mating for cow

Are you looking to make heifers or steers?  Use a 1/2 blood or purebred?  On the pure side to mate HW I would use either Yardley High Regard or Chopper.  On the 1/2 blood side either Griswolds Whizard or Matt lautners Chinook.
