    Torn ACL

I figured the show thing was over for her. Hadn't had plans to keep as a breeding animal anyway - she is a walks alone and was designed to be a market heifer anyway. She is not spooky by nature, and the cow is not either. We were washing her at the fair for a show, and some other calves spooked...

    Torn ACL

Need some advice or help if anyone has experience. Have a really nice cale (approx. 350#) still on the cow She tried to jump a wall, and started limping on her rear leg on saturday. I treated her twice, and had the vet out today. He is pretty sure it is a torn ACL (similar to what athletes...

Focus - New Calming Liquid @ Sullivans

Has anyone used the new product 'Focus' for calming higher strung show calves? It comes from Oklahoma. Looks like if is a Thiamine product??? We have a steer thinking about trying it on - what were experiences? Doesn't look cheap - but if it works may be worth it!

Need advice - Breaking a calf

Ok - a little back ground. I am not new to breaking calves - been doing it for years. When I was a kid broke 3-5 per year for 10 years for the fair, and now as a dad have helped to break 6-8 each year for the last few years. Have broke 100 plus calves in my lifetime. So this is not my first...

Looking for a new trailer, does anyone have a wilson with a rolling divider?

We have a Eby with the front rolling gate - best option you can get on a trailer - bar none. The flexability is awesome. Ours is a 24ft with a front rolling gate, and a fixed gate at 10ft from the rear. This works well for us because we can fit our 8ft grooming chute in the back - most fixed...

    Aluminum Livestock Trailers...Opinions Please

Have a 24ft Eby Wrangler  love it Wilson would have been our top choice, but found a good used Eby It's been said here before - Look to a company that builds Semi Pots - they have the experience to build trailer for a long life of hard use.

    best gooming chute?

I will second the 8ft with powder coating we have a 8ft Hybrid from Sullivans that we powder coated the whole thing and love it the extra length is nice - the only time you will wish you had the smaller one is moving it - they are a little heavier but if that is the case - just get a 1/2 chute

    Opinion on Clippers

I have both Oster Clipmaster, and Lister stablemate for large clippers. My vote would be for Lister. They are what gets used more our our place - just seems easier to handle for my daughterand myself. They do well for us - just wish the blades wre a little less expensive. Cyfarmer

Yup - started out a little straight when a calf, and by the time was fat he was over in his knee so bad he could not hardly walk. Just looked uncomfortable when he stood still. Andis Excel vs ConAir Brushless Clippers

Looking to upgrade clippers. Currently have Andis blue two speed Ultra Edge. Just was looking for opinions from any one who currently uses either. I like the speed of the Andis, but the really light ConAir are appealing- what's your thoughts? Thanks Cyfarmer
