Yes, it is  one of those things that "Just Happens". Last year out of 60 cows we had 4 calves with 1 or BOTH fronts back, 1 upside down, and a set of twins that the second calf wasnt coming out until Momma got her arm in the cow. And that was just the first 43 cows and we (Momma) saved them all...

It is sure worth a try. We have used AE for three falls now and not sure if that is what keeps them eating or not but have calves almost running us over at feeding time. We will have to check into things next spring but our Dr. told us the new cidr's he had this past spring, only had about 1/2 the hormone drug in them and he recommended we did NOT re-use. I can't remember the number on the bag now but trust him!!

Seen a pretty good blue steer a few years ago. I thought they said he had NO Shorthorn in him but was Maine, Simmi X. I am not a genetics whiz so is that possible?? Or did he have some Shorthorn in him?

This is the only pic we have of him... there wasnt a official photographer at fall fair and they werent cooperating so we werent able to get one . This is the only one we have and he has grown quite a bit since then.....
