well i dont think you will have to be the stoutest steer in the barn but ya beter be sound big bodied and attractive the the more free the steer has in his movment the beter
that i wouldnt really know how much to feed we normally dont start untill a couple months before we need them finished i would say that it would be trial and error sorry if i wasnt of any help
