I was wondering how many of you have heart girth cattle.  Our scale is very old and it hasn't worked a few years. Every time we start talking about how much a calf weighs  Dad brings out the old heart girth tape. How accurate are they and are they used much any more.

The Best Boots we have found are from Dunlop they are a large green boot.  A lot  of guys on the oil rigs use them.  We wear them in the winter even in -40 weather.  My feet don't get cold and they are comfortable. They cost us about 100 CAN and have lasted us about 2 years...

I was just wondering about meat from clones.  I know that meat from clones are approved for consumption in the USA but other countries that buy American meat do they accept meat from clones? Do clones have to be tracked from birth to slaughter to insure that they are for domestic use only?

Mater our herd bull is getting better but won't be any good for this breeding season. I will keep him and see how he heals for a few months.  His swelling is going down and he is not carring his leg too much.
