    Appropriate time to wait?

We had one of those " Mystery " cows show up. We caught her and quarantined her from our cows. The animal control didn't want anything to do with her and no one, not even the sheriff could tell us how long we had to keep her before she could go to the auction barn. Plus the auction barn didn't...

    Hereford steer paint

Why are you painting their legs? We show Herefords and have never done that. We use a cheap blue shampoo from Sally's beauty salon to make all of their whites whiter. Just put it on and let soak for a few minutes and rinse. They look really good.

    Cures for warts on calves

I put lard on the warts. it makes them itchy so they scratch them off there is also less bleeding and the area seems to heal faster than if they are cut off. Apply it daily or everyother day depending on your washing schedule. I get my lard at Walmart, it has been the only place I can find it...

We had two uterine prolapses last year, from 2 first calf heifers. We lost one hef from I think overzealous young vet when it was not put back right the first time and she prolapsed again. Anyhow our real vet says it is a chemical imbalance so we revisited my feed program and and added more...
