    Conditioning/Growing hair

Thanks for the advice! As far as having a timer on the mister how do you do that? Right now I only have the ring with the little knobs on them. I'm planning on buying the filter. Do you think my mikxing kleen sheen and vineagar would be good? Or water?

    Conditioning/Growing hair

I know that MANY threads have been made on this, but I would like advice for my situation. I am running out of double dip. Therefore, I need more conditioner. I was thinking on getting kleen sheen and Sullivan's hair simulator and mixing the two? What are your thoughts?? And then at the start of...

    Too big too early?

Hey I have a shorthon steer that I'm showing at the end of July/August for our county fair.  We had our county weigh-in today and he weighed 1,000 even. He was one of the biggest there. We are feeding one five gallon bucket and a half at morning and night.  the ration is a mix with prolly 2/3...

    Angus bulls on heifers

I was thinking on using either Bismarck or Brilliance on my simmental heifer

    Eye Candy Bull

Thanks! I will take a look at it! What do you think he works best on? The cow I'm thinking about breeding him to is a very large framed, long sided,  big boned cow.  She probably lacks depth of body but that's about it.  And she's mainly a simmental with a little angus.  She's also a baldie with...

    synchronizing heifers

Alright we might try that.  The reason I want to breed them in the summer is so that they have spring calves.  That way everything is on track for breeding and showing purposes at shows.  If I wanted to market the calf, I could market it in the fall, that way it would be weaning and I could sell...

    synchronizing heifers

How do you know if your cow or heifer is in day 6 - 17 of their cycle? when you see them in heat do you start counting the days??

    synchronizing heifers

Thanks! So you would suggest heat synchronization for just three cows.  And cycling cows are just cattle that have heat every 21 to 24 days? At least two of the cows In know have had heat and the one will be calving in March/April so she should be cycling in June/July.  She's in good condition.

    synchronizing heifers

I had some questions regarding to heat synchronization as well.  What is the most efficient process? Is it expensive? We are going to AI (for the first time) a heifer born in April( I think she has gone inot heat at least once) a cow (she was in standing heat a couple weeks ago) and another cow...

    Eye Candy Bull

I don't want to steal anyone's post, but I have a few questions.... This June/July we are going to AI a heifer and two cows for the first time.  For the 75% simmy heifer I am breeding her to either Bismarck/Brilliance/ or Northern Improvement.  The Angus/Simmental cow I am breeding to...

    Angus Bulls for AI

Cut the BS- sorry I did not realize this. I will never post again. I have searched for every bull I'm looking for on the search here.  And at least I try to be a positive person and NOT comment on EVERYONES post.... that gets annoying as well.  So literally "cut the bs"... such a perfect name...

    Angus Bulls for AI

I was just wondering what you all thought on Angus bulls for AI? I have a 75% simmy heifer that I am going to AI in june/july.  A couple bulls I like are briliance, Northern Improvement, and the answer.  What bull would you think would be the  best option as far as getting a show quality calf...

Duff New Edition and Grandmaster Bulls

Thanks for the replies so far! They are exactly what I've been looking for! As far as New Edition, I still want to use him. I will keep asking around about him.  I've not heard many people say that he's not a heifer bull.  I just wanted a good angus to breed to the heifer to increase her chances...

Duff New Edition and Grandmaster Bulls

Ok thanks! So I'm not using New Edition any more. Although, I do like body builder.  Are his calves just as good? I will keep watching the heifer to see what her size will be.  She kind of looks lilke she could get tall.  Her mom is pretty big, so we will see!

Duff New Edition and Grandmaster Bulls

I was wondering on what any of you thought on the Duff New Edition and Grandmaster bulls?  I was thinking on using Duff on my 75% simmy heifer.  I've read that he is calving ease, but I wanted to know more from people who have heard or have used him.  I'm also thinking on using the Grandmaster...

    How to AI?

Thanks Oakie! Well, I have done a lot more research today, and have asked breeders on here.  Right now I'm thinking on breeding the heifer to Duff New Edition, and the cow to Grandmaster the simmy. Have any of you heard good things.bad things about using them? Let me know your thoughts!

Which duff bull would you say is the best for heifers/with the lowest bw and ce?  I have a heifer that's 75% simmy. Which one do you think will work the best on her? I also have an angus that I think I might AI to a simmy bull, maybe In Dew Time. Let me know what you think.
