    Red Angus bull

I'm starting to foresee another table in all the catalogs right next to the EPD table. It'll list out AM, PHA, TH, Hydro, Marble Bone, Fawn Calf, Monkey Pox, Count Choculitis, and a few others. And yeah, this was on Black Angus cattle.

    Who's Chipped

I had one for my 04 Duramax and loved it. Noticeable increase in torque and mileage. I also ended up going through a set of injectors. I haven't been brave enough to do it to the 08 yet. Once I'm past 40k miles I might put a tuner on it. I have a Diablo Predator for a Duramax LLY. If anyone...

    Red Angus bull

I spoke with my neighbor who is a pretty well connected/informed Angus breeder. He said he spoke with a couple from Iowa who runs a DNA lab for about 3 hours the other night. Apparently they were working on on test samples for Marble Bone in a popular Angus line. Looks like there's another...

I'm going to start charging you guys for insurance advice: On livestock mortality policies, there are 2 general ways you can go with these. The first, and most common is to go with a company like Harding and Harding, or American Livestock Insurance, that will actually cover the animal for a...

    Is the grass growing yet

Found the first speck of green today when I was shoveling snow. If we still have snow on the ground on April 15th, it will have been here for 6 months. We had our first snowfall Oct 15th of last year. Looks like we'll be in the 50's for the next week or so, so I'm hoping things start to green up.

    Aprils Fools

Today I changed my facebook status to "Klint is going to be a daddy". Within 3 hours I had a couple dozen congratulation wishes and a few raised eyebrows. I finally posted a message that I was a daddy, but it was to the bull calves we had this afternoon. One of my buddies who works for our...

    Aprils Fools

Around 3 years ago my now wife and I were at a small jazz band concert her class was putting on. Half way through it I said I had an announcement to make, and proceeded to get down on one knee and give the worst proposal in the history of the world, I then pulled out a ring box and gave it to...

How much are you paying for Hay??

I should add that those prices I put up are not delivered prices. You have to be $5 or $6 per loaded mile to have it delivered yet.

Why are bulls selling like firecrackers?

Seeing the same thing down here. The top end of the bulls is going really well, but from there the prices seem to be dropping considerably.

    Insomnia

Calving season and these blizzards has really messed with me. Most nights I'm in bed around 11 and up at 6, but with calving I've been up every 2 hours to check, so that's not helping me. The blizzards are messing with me because I'm playing bachelor right now and don't feel like going to bed...
