A lot of times what happens is cows that do a lot of riding while in estrus will pile everything up right inside their vulva/ anus. Sometimes you have to even manipulate all of their reproductive anatomy to put it back near the proper place it belongs. What you experienced is not uncommon.

If no one is able to help with information you could always quickly pull a straw and read the info on it. Just do it as quickly as possible and preferably not in direct sunlight and you shouldn't damage the straw of semen.
