Can that young of a calf place?

Had a nice American steer born on 4/9/11.  What is the youngest American steer you have herd of placing at Houston?  His mother is not very big.  A real nice ground sow of a brangus.  So frame may be a problem for this calf.

That bull catches my eye of all the new bulls out there this year.

I have a 600 lb. show steer that is staying just a little too pooched up on me.  He is on a self feeder a hay bale and has access to a trap. He has access to a rumensin block.  Does anyone have any suggestions or things I could try to get him over this?
