You can try this, it's worth a shot- MTG (Mane and Tail Groom). It's most commonly used on horses, but I've used it on cattle before. It works pretty good and smells like BBQ sauce.. not kidding. Give it a try and tell me if it works! Jordan

Thank you for all the replies. We did some research on the Vita Ferm Concept Aid and they recommended to only feed this mineral before breeding and not while the cow is bred. They said that in bred cows it really doesn't do much to help them. So, what do y'all feed to your bred cows? Thanks...

We are fairly new to the cattle business and this was our first show steer to sell. He was a ALM Surf X Double stuff. He went on to win numerous Breed and Reserve Champions in Texas.

We raise toy/mini aussies. Our full grown male weighs somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 pounds. He does not know that he is a toy/mini.  He loves to fetch, will swim in the pool or tank, will jump in the truck when you ask him if he wants to go for a ride, and will herd the cows and chickens...

Try posting this in the classifieds. You might get a better response! Nice looking heifers by the way  ;)

First of all get him hungry. Take away food and water and try in the morning. We have bottle fed tons of calves and some will take to the bottle easy and others are challenging. Stick with it! Since your fighting the calf to drink, keep the bottle/head low to help prevent aspiration. Kanshow has...

Any heifers?

How is the calf acting? Be very careful with this, we had a calf get an infected umbilical and went down hill fast! We have noticed if it's an infection they will have fever and lethargy and if it's a hernia it seems like they have a decreased appetite. Just watch him close. Good luck! Jordan

We've done it a few times and I find it challenging. Make sure the trailer doesn't have wheel wells in the inside area where you would haul. To me it seems like the inside is smaller and harder to load and unload cattle. We had no problem with ventilation due to the fact that we had drop down...
