Had one heifer last year.  100 lbs birth weight and that was actual birth weight on a hanging scale. She was born unassisted out of a big simmi angus cow.  I would say you need to use him on a cow that has some power and size as well.

Now that they are finally calving.  3 heifers 0 bulls.  first one 276 days next one 284 days and 285 days.  I have never had heifers go over due but have been on these and the one fall heifer i had also.
