If you have some heifers you could give them the same name as the dam just give the calf a different tattoo number. Makes it a little easier if you have a hard time figuring out a name.

I don't know of any work shops through FFA, there may be some in other states but Im pretty sure we don't have one here In Illinois. If you find out about a workshop (not through FFA) that will be going on locally just talk to you ag advisor and they will probably help you get signed up.
