I think Yellow Jacket works best on TH carrier cows with a lot of power, moderate, deep and short bodied.

Hard to tell from photos--video would be helpful in evaluating soundness.  Looks thick enough, easy doing.  Would like to see him cleaner through the brisket and neck.

I use estrus alert patches as others explain plus observe heat 3 times per day for a minimum of 20 minutes.  I check early morning, at dusk and then again around 10 pm.  You would be surprised how many I catch on that 3rd check that weren't in heat at dusk.  Young bull calves sometime help a bit...

It's hard to beat a WW chute. I have one that I bought used 24 years ago and it is still going strong. Just put a forever fiber grate floor in it and its good to go another 24 years I think.

I have had good luck with Dikemans Surebet and Ranchhand on heifers. Also used and like 3-c macho but he is not suitable for heifers unless you like to take them out the side door.

I'm not a charalois breeder but I wonder what those who are think of Firewater on this cow? Would he add frame? Calve ok?

I've had a few Bojos. They were pretty little calves with no grow.  Moderate and great hair.

Here is a steer I sold that placed 2nd in ring A, 4th in ring B. the Shannon Marsh family did the heavy lifting and a great job with him. He's out of a first calf Monopoly heifer.

I worry more about the impact of entitilments on our country than I do immigrantion.  Used to be folks wouldn't take a hand-out unless they were down on their luck.  Nowadays, folks don't mind laying around on the couch, talking on their free phone, drawing extended unemployment or, worse yet...

I consider a cattle prod a necessary tool that I rarely use.  Ii is so nice to have when occasionally needed.  Usually, if I just produce the the prod, my cows get the message and move up.  I guess I am old fashioned but I hate spoiled cows and spoilled kids.
