I think there is still a huge demand or hereford cattle.The AHA still registers the second most cattle year after year, and many commercial producers have hereford influenced cows. They may not compete in the club calf deal but they are still used widely.

If you are desperate to get them to quit before a show put a (tail tie) cable tie around there tail for about half an hour and cut it off before you go in the ring.

I honestly don't know that melatonin is a banned substance. It is  naturally occurring. I know sullivan's has there new peace pellets, I don't have any experience with the product but may be worth a shot.

It may not have been the University's fault, but a number of their leaders knew and didn't do anything. When I was in college I had a hard time finding an internship. I learned a couple things. 1. Use the school as a resource they have lined up many internships before. 2. As with everything in show cattle its not what you know its who you know. And what your name is. I never did get an internship...

They both have great cattle. I don't know the Star Lake Crew but Langfords are great people. But I know Star Lake does alot for the juniors they sell too.
