We used Grizzly on a SOS x Emblazon first calf heifer.  Had a 67# heifer calf, it's the best calf I have really clean fronted and soggy bellied.  A couple of my buddies used him also on first calf heifers and are very happy with the outcome calves came small and are really growing.

I would breed her early have had a lot better luck early than late.  The semen will last inside the cow for up to 12 hours I have been told. Hope this helps

I have some first calf heifers that are giving everything to their calves.  I was wondering how much grain and what kind of protein level everyone feeds to there heifers to keep them in good shape? Also what kind of rations do you use for yearling heifer to help them developing? Thanks
