The Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown does it.  There have been bulls come from Quebec to have it done in the past. I know it's not Ontario, but it's another option.

4H entries are due here on November 15th and open show entries are due on December 1st.  Open show entries used to be one month before the show, but the rules were changed about 5 years ago. The show is held 3 weeks before Easter so can range from the end of February to the end of March.

Good to hear.  Congrats! Because of the cold winter we've had our birthweights are about 10-15 lbs higher than usual compared to this time last year and previous years.  They're also higher than our November/December calves.  Of course 12 days makes a difference.

We've used sexed male and female Connealy Right Answer 746 and S A V Bismarck 5682.  Both easy calving and lots of growth in the calves as they have gotten older. We've bred them back to calve as 3 year olds that way as well.

We've had 8 WA calves over the last 2 years.  All out of non-clubby Angus based cows, some of which were purebreds. Most were unassisted including twins.  One that was helped was easy enough and another was vet assist, but we don't blame the sire, just one of those deals that the cow was getting...

For training purposes, we have brackets that we can attach to any gate that will allow us to hook on to any tractor as a 3 point hitch hook up.

We've had 10 Monopoly calves and they've all grown out to what I would call adequate heights for the show ring.  All were out of medium to large sized Angus based cows.

One of the three heifers had a bit of help to calve out at the end, nothing serious.  Calves were vigorous and quick to nurse. We chose Right Answer as what we think is the best calving ease of the sexed bulls available to us in our area. If not going sexed there are many more Angus options.
