Anyone been recently at KSU and viewed these Shorthorn cattle. What i udnerstand herd was closed in the 1950's, much Calrossie Welcome who was and inbred sire already make up the base? Sent an email to KSU 3weeks back , no replies.

to understand the impact of the some sires you need to go to the next 5 generations of the bulls Jamie listed... that is were the line breeding is more easily identifiedfied with sires like Deerpark Improver 52, Dividend ect ect

Hey DL after all your great posts and the discussions  on the site about defects , we have persons proclaiming, with great authority I am told  of the bulls, by name and pedigree that are carriers of multitudes of problems? was at Haumonts early October this year.. about 2weeks b4 Mary Belle passed away. She drove me aroudn to all the pastures and holdings and the 15miles back to tonw for lunch. I saw some very useful 2011 bull calves, 2 that were particular interesting , muscle and tops... some gnetics well worht...
