    posting iPhone pic

What is the trick to posing an iPhone pic.  They always end up to large.  Is there a way to downsize pics on phone or this blog?

    show steer has loose stools

Add some fiber to his ration and give him probiotics regularly.  Cotton seed hulls or mix in another feed with higher fiber into his show feed ration.  It seems like one of our steers each year has this problem.

    Painted Red & White Bull

What is the best structured club calf red and white painted or short horn looking bull?  I have used MAB but looking for another option.  I have a Red Tiger Woods x Double Vision cow I am looking to breed for hair showed steers.  She is a little straight on her back wheels.  Considering Two...

    Pasture Pictures--Dakota Gold

What did the mother cow look like?  Did he add that much power and bone to the Angus cow or does the cow have good bone?  I have been breeding Angus cows to club calf bulls for a few years now and can't get that much bone.  Those calves look good.  I might be using him this year.

Why do all these club calf bulls die so young?

I used Tyson a few years back on some Angus cows and he worked well.

    Fort Worth steer show

The class that the grand champion came out of was amazing.  I believe it was class 10 of the exotics.  Several great calves but the top ten were amazing calves but I think he picked the right one.  The champions in the grand drive were all beautiful.  It was a very entertaining show and the...

Does optiflex negatively impact structure in the front legs or rear legs or both?  How long does it take to see results?

    Unstoppable vs General Lee

Our Unstoppable calfs are deep gutted, hairy, with very good structure and square hipped. They also have nice eye appeal.  He did not add much bone, muscle or neck so I would use him on a powerful cow with bone, muscle and a long neck.  I will use him again on the right cow.  I don't have...

    Birthdates

I wonder if that has anything to do with why some heifers at shows are one and a half feet taller and 300 lbs heavier than other heifers in the class?

    Scared of daughter

Try double haltering it.  Your daughter on the show side and you on the other.

    North Tx State Fair

The numbers seemed to be up this year. I would guess that there were 75 to 100 steers there. The quality of steers also seemed to be better this year. We like the show because it's close and somewhat of a sizeable jackpot were we can go in the morning and leave in the afternoon and not stay...

I saw the Horn Char. He was good looking. Do you know what the breeding was on him?

    North Tx State Fair

Who had the grand and reserve steer and what breed was it?  Also, how did the steer look?  We left early but there seemed to be more animals there than usual.

    Building New Showbarn

We have added on to ours a few times improving each time to make our life easier. We are in Texas so the summers are brutal. Due to the heat which I assume you have in Mississippi, I would leave your stalls with three sides open (only one wall) with high sealings so the air will circulate better...

    calf with front leg issue

We had one like this a few years back and they never completely straightened up. He had nock kneed and buckled over and on top of that he had contracted tendons. They eventually got better but not correct. We ended up feeding it and my daughter was able to hide the flaw at our county fair he...
