Just For Fun - Poll and Debate

Well, I'll start off with the simmy: I dont think you can beat a Dream On cow.  He works just about everywhere.  For the Maines im going old school and sticking with Chill Factor.  Angus would have to be OCC Legend.  Then I'd put Shadybrook Millenium on the list for the shorthorns.  Enjoy!

    Griswold sale

Whizard will add more rib shape and fleshing ability than any other simmy bull that I have used. They also are very attractive patterned which is favored in a show environment. Pretty damn useful Cattle, you should use some of these bulls then you’d know.

    Maine bulls for steers

After some recent disappointments using clubbie bulls ranging from bad attitudes and poor structure to late maturing terrible attitudes I'm looking into the Maine bulls to find a bull that can sire a little hair, sound functional offspring that mature in 18 months, good attitudes is a must and a...

    Bred the cows yesterday

SimFarmer, you are using a dang good lineup!  Mine included Whizard,Broker, loaded up, Bullseye, and Houston along with a few Homeboy x Steel Force embryos for the simmys. Fu Man Chu and Here I Am for cross breds and I even threw in a straw of my old buddy Witch Doctor on an OCC Legend cow...

    GCC Whizard or Roger's Outsider?

Whizard is my go to bull when I can't decide what to use. He's good calving and the offspring are very easy keeping. I haven't kept any for myself because they are usually my sale highlight females. I have a yearling heifer that will be at MI beef expo next weekend that is darn good.

A Step Up vs. Uno Mas

in my opinion Step is not a heifer bull, sure some of them come easy but he was all over the board for us.  He will also throw horns if the cow is not polled.  Out of the 5 that I had he made the attitudes worse on every one.  I would sure use Uno Mas before id use Step Up any day.  Gcc Whizard...

    MLC Sire directory

My whole point was that he just uses names of successful bulls from the past, i guess i should have used an emoji to show humor for the younger crowd who might not remember those bulls.  To me its shows a lack of respect to those original bulls and owners.  Whats next, Irish Whiskey? EXT? Dream...

    MLC Sire directory

Where does Matt come up with such crafty names such as Double Trouble, Blaze of Glory, Meyer 735, Gunsmoke, Black Power Play, Pistol Pete, Proud Jazz? Creativity at its best.

    AI in bad weather?

Let me rephrase this: if you are happy giving up 8-15% conception to not have to use warm water, then have at it.

    AI in bad weather?

I breed cows for a living. I would not thaw my semen on my body in any way shape or form. A water bath will evenly thaw your semen, especially if you are using .5cc straws. I breed over 200 cows each week no matter what the weather is, my only advice is to keep it protected and minimize...
