    Dyeing hair tips

    Sullivans has some hair dyeing tips to make things work better.  Human hair dye is fine, mix it with Kleen Sheen to last longer, and watch for color change (usually 15 minutes or so).  Short haired animals need less time obviously so you don't burn there skin.  Rinse very well!

    Ranch hand is definitely a "rangier" type simmental.  All of ours are long legged and have more leather up front than I like.  Excellent feedlot calves, great performance and good sized eyes.  I would stray if you were going towards the clubby side of things.

    larges breeding barns

    I have worked in the same one for 16 years now.  I would never go back to breeding in a chute.  In all of those years I have only had 2 customer heifers blow up in one.  They are great for keeping the cattle quite and for keeping your environment clean.  I think it speeds up things as well...

    Advice on Fluid located on the inner hock

    Just our experience: The more exerciese, the less swelling.  It was always worse after coming out of the barn and laying around all day.  We also would give dex the morning of the show, but the best remedy was exercise.  This steers hocks were soft, we could never get any fluid out of them.
