    AgriGenomics

I just used Pfizer to have one tested and was happy with the turn around time. They sent me an email as soon as they got my submission and I had PHA/TH results within 2 weeks of then. I'd use them again.

Best put down a Judge has used

My last year in 4-H both myself and another senior in our group got dropped in Showmanship because we didn't have to take time to set our calves feet. We had weekly show practices with our calves starting 2 months prior to our fair and both were dedicated to working a lot at home between those...

Carhartt "hands" commercials - what a joke

Was just shopping for insulated bib coveralls the other day and the Carhartt in the right size had stitching coming out and falling apart in the store. I ended up going with another brand, kind of a disappointing since I love my jacket (w USA on the tag) that I've had for years.

The craziest thing you have seen at a cattle show

I think it was about my senior year, one of my best friends who is a year behind me at a Red steer that was just nuts for our county fair. They had a hate-hate relationship. The steer spooked at everything, couldn't stand a chain halter and was just nasty. We weight in at a lower arena near the...

Input on bull selection *Updated with Photos of Smokin' Joe Calf*

I actually had someone local here also tell me they thought she was the best MB they had seen. She's certainly an eye catcher in the field full of Black Angus. It is hard to shop around for semen to use on just one or two cows. Our genex rep had Smokin' Joe on hand a couple of years ago and I...

Input on bull selection *Updated with Photos of Smokin' Joe Calf*

Hello, I have been a long time reader of this forum and frequent it quite often. I've reached the point where our semen tank is nearly empty so I am looking to restock. I sold most of my herd when I left for college, but I do have one cow I kept back along with her heifer from this year. I'm...

    Charolais Bull

I had to create an account just to reply to you.  I grew up in Elkton, Oregon and spent summers from 2004-2008 working at the Big K. They are amazing people up there! I have since moved off for college and just graduated from the University of Idaho. I hope that you enjoyed your time in Elkton...
