Any demand for Meyer 734xAng. embryos

Was this the Bando 598 donor?  I think that was the pedigree of the high seller Ryan bought on the dispersal...If so, we had a Meyer flush out of her too.  Calves were pretty good.  I only recall one hiefer and she was nice.  Had a bunch of bulls that all made decent bulls.

With Meyer in there already, unless you are willing to risk extra white, I'd probably pull my mating choice of Built Right off the table.  Could be lots of chrome there.  I've seen some really nice BR's out of Meyer cows though....

I don't know this heifer's bottom side, but we've used Built Right on the Dream On free Upgrades and have had excellent success.  Had a $8000 Built Right bull out of an Upgrade heifer last year, and she has a killer baldy heifer this year by the same bull.  My only concern here would be that...

Hows this Baldy Progressing , better or worse ???

Heifer looks good to me.  Might not be the killer show heifer that you were hoping for, but looks to have the confirmation for a good, productive female.

Red Baldy Simmy bull calf opinions ???

Thing that I like best about the red bull is that he has a darn good looking mother...If you could make 100 heifers like her, he'll be a good one!

    Feeding bulls

I'm pretty sure that a majority of bull developers in our area (Central Nebraska) feed some type of corn by-product in the process.  We've fed wet distillers or gluten for years.  Normally, we will have only a few retest bulls out of 50 or 60 head.  The condition on a yearling bull is a tough...

    Simmental Registration Questions

Depending on the breeds involved with the dams, I'm thinking you might have to do some genetic defect testing before they are allowed to be papered....correct me if I'm wrong.

    Simmental advice

I'm biased, but Built Right is an old standby that will work in this scenario.  He makes them efficient.

    Livestock Scale

Not sure on the model number, but we have a portable scale from this company.  They are 18 miles down the road from us and are a great company to work with.  Top notch support if you ever have an issue. Our feedwagon scale, and both bale processor scales, are also from them. Call them at...

    Calving Trouble

You can never check too often.  I probably get in 10 cows a year just to make sure everything is coming right, then the majority get kicked right back out....2 weeks ago had one coming tail first.  In addition, we've had 3 other breeches as well.  Being pro-active really saves lots of potential...

Hauling from North Dakota south (to Nebraska)

We will have an empty 30 foot trailer (with 3 compartments) heading back south from the Bismarck, North Dakota area this weekend.  Our final destination will be central Nebraska.  If we can assist in moving any livestock back this direction, drop me a PM before Friday evening. Thanks.

OCC Legend or OCC Anchor for clubby mamas

Thomas...BC Lookout can be used on heifers, but, from our experience, they need to be closely managed.  They WILL NOT calve as easily as the Legends, though we like the end product better.  Our Lookouts have all come out of high percentage Simmental heifers, so that adds some weight to the...
