I have a heifer calf out of him x Dirtyhairy(grand dam is Majors Money Man x Aviator) fisrt calf that is a cripple.  bummer.......... :(

We contacted another vet yesterday.  He said to give in Penicilin (short acting) for 5 days straight the everyother day for a week.  Plus some Bantamine everyother day during this course.      The calf had already received bolus pills. 

He has had all of the above meds that u had used.  Had iodine flushes.  We have not given him any penicillin, I don't think.  Do you think we should bother weighing him in for the county fair?  How long did it take for your calf to get better??

The vet has recut the sack open twice.  The first time it was definitely infection--yukky, smelly.....  The second time he got out a couple of huge clots but not much else.  Poor calf has had more shots--gonna have one tough neck.  The sack seems to swell more on the right side up under his...

We have a steer that was castrated the 10th of October.  He had larger testicles then the other bull calves(Feb calf).  Since this time we have had the vet down estimated 8 times for his sack swelling up with the swelling going down into the sheath area. In the sack area it looks at this time...

Is there another calf in the pen with him.  the buddy system is always good.  Put a radio out in his area if you can--get use to noises.

She did not know if it was caused by an injury or genectics.  I am thinking genectics because I have never seen her limp or appear injured.  Just noticed the lump on inside of her knee about a month ago. 

I should prove read what I type before I post it.  lol!!!    We will have others to show, but it was his first breeding heifer's calf---just makes it tough.      Do you think that problem is genectic or injury or?????  Has anyone else delt with this issue?  Was wondering how big you thought...

Well,  the came out.  Tapped the knee and said it was joint fluid.  She said the calf would never make a show calf and would maybe make it to 700 lbs and the to the freezer.  Bummer.....   

Was your Walks Alone calf ok at birth???  My little calf has been fine up untill she developed this lump on the inside of her one knee about a month ago.    Just wish I had the answers, but I am not sure I will have them.    It is the cows first baby so I hate to blame it on her.

It just makes me so sad.    :(    This is my grandson's first calf and he is so proud of her.

I have a calf that turned 2 months old today.    About a month ago she had a knot on the inside of her knee.  I gave her two rounds of LA200 and put her in a pen with another pair so that she did not have to travel out in the pasture.  Took her to the vet last Friday and she vet put a sweat...

It is the club calf bull out of Mr. Clean.    I had one person breed three cows to him.  She said all bigger birth weights and one got hip locked.  She was not happy with him and said to stay away.    Just looking for some more reports on his calves before I breed to him.  I just bought semen.
