Her bag is not warm or hard.  The calf is a bit behind but only weighed maybe 45 lbs,  she is out of a Northern Improvement cow x Maine bull.  The gentleman I got her from did vaccinate her when born. The cow came into heat this weekend.  Her natural calf was born March 20th.

what would the vet feel for??  would she have an abnormal discharge, fever or anything i could look for?  Should I give her some LA 200?? 

Yes it is.  Just don't understand it.  ????  She is in good condition, getting mineral.  Gonna put her on some Accuration by Purnia this weekend and pasture.

What would be the best supplies to use for bracing the lower legs of a baby calf that was born this am with a ligament problem.  Talked to vet on phone and that is what she suggested to do.    thanks for your help.

Had 3 bull calves this year.  Two that had to be pulled--one out of a shorthorn cow and one out of a charolais cow.  Third one out of a Aviator cow that was still big but she had on her own.    Kept one of the three and it will be shown at our county fair.    Not real impressed with how  BIG...

I have a steer for my grandson.  He is tame-wash, blowed and clipped on Sunday, and he didn't move a bit.    He will not walk for nothin.  we have to push and pull.  when he does make a baby step we praise him and loosen the halter.  any helpful suggestions  thank you

I have a show heifer out of Dirty Harry and Majors Money Man x Aviator.      I have bred her to Jesse James.  The heifer is ecoming real straight on legs.  What are thoughts on keeping her or sending her on her way??    Am I asking for a train wreck next year with her passing on those straight...

no baby yet.  I did have AI date wrong as she was bred Sept 11 not Aug 11.    Vet checked her just about 3 weeks ago said there was a big calf in there thought maybe it should have come before July---nope.    As of the 5th she will be 2 wks over due.    Still waiting.....  As hot as it has...

No discharge yet and the vulva is not much swollen.  Just really big belly and full bag.  LOL!!
