    Display bull 2013 NWSS Question

I didn't see the bull at Denver, but the person who owns him is Jason Goodfellow,(306) 893-4620. He is from Neilberg, Saskatchewan. They have a sale this March 17, semen is being offered there. http://nottaranch.com/pdf/2013/All-Canadian-Speckle-Park-Angus-Bull-Female-Sale-2013.pdf

    Cost of flushing in Canada

Okay. My grandpa has two full sisters from Misty 57P as well in the herd. The bred heifer I sold in the 2012 CWA sale would be a grand daughter to her sold to Haydocks, and in the 2011 CWA sale her daughter sold to Peckovers. Thank you again for the information, I will have to talk it over with...

    Cost of flushing in Canada

Thanks Grant, which ET vet do you use? I have for a while thought about getting my cow, Bell M Misty 57P, flushed. She was the one that started my herd and she is not getting any younger so to keep genetics on her I would hopefully like to flush her.

    Shorthorn Cow Families

One big one in Canada is the Raggedy Anne cow family, many great females from that cow family.

    Cost of flushing in Canada

I have been thinking of flushing one of my top shorthorn cows, but I am wondering what it costs to get it done. I also live in Canada, so I assume cost would be slightly different from the States. Any infromation on this would be great.

    UPDATED - 2 problems with steer(s)

Once the calves are back to eating regularly add some Sullivans Appetite Express to their feed, this will make them want to keep on eating and will make there manure less runny.

What do you do with scurs on a 4-H steer?

Have had luck using elastorator bands (for baby calves). It may take a bit of time for them to fall off, but does a nice job and is very inexpensive.

Headliner Vs. Monopoly Who has had calves by both and your analysis

Headliner semen is available in Canada, my brother had a red Headliner heifer in 4-H who ended up winning reserve champion at 4-H regional, many reserve champions throughout the summer, and reserve champion at Saskatoon Fall Fair. She was out of a simm/angus cow.
