What would you feed showmaster finisher or purina finishing touch

We've fed showmaster finisher the last 3 yrs. along with beet pulp and barley at times. It seems that we are behind when it comes to show time because of lack of fat. I'm thinking of switching to Purina show chow. I'm thinking showmaster is lacking something or maybe it's me.

Anyone tried this? If so how were the results? We have a steer we are taking to SA March the 7th. I would like to add some fat to this steer as well as some muscle.

We were using main and tail everday and washing with joy once a week. I think using the main and tail made the hair to heavy. Being from Texas what is the best daily product to use. I'm thinking of trying sheen mixed with white vinegar. Whats everyone else doing?

We have a main steer that is for our county show which is mid Jan. This steer will also be going to Fort Worth which is end of Jan. He is weighing 1250 now. What is the best way to hit the target of 1350 without hurting the steer to much?

Why would barley and corn screw up a calf. I have a yellowjacket steer that needs to be a little fat er and was going to use steamed barley. Will this not work?
