I don't think I would suggest All Star for heifer use. In our experience the birth weights have been near 90# or above. But he would be a good choice down the road.

I like OFS's idea but it has its drawbacks. For one, it would almost double your labor. Second, it would change the structural integrity of the unit. The unit is best in its simplicity. What are the overall dimensions? Got a name for it? Like the Flake Feeder or Hay Scooter. ;D
