    Breeding Suggestions, Please

For an Angus, I'd give Hoover Dam a try.  His calves have been very consistent for me.  They have good natural thickness and the heifers are feminine.

    Flush Option for Angus Cow?

I've had good luck with Limestone Great Divide.  He definitely adds some muscle shape and his epd's are pretty good.  He has a low docility epd, but that hasnt been my experience.  My Select Sires rep asks me about the disposition of my Great Divide calves all the time and I've never had a bad...

Hoover Dam or Frontman??? or other...

I've been really pleased with my Hoover Dam calves.  They've all had good bone and plenty of muscle.  Probably the best bull I sold last Fall was a Hoover Dam.  I've got one Frontman cow in my herd.  She's a second calver and did a good job with this year's calf (lost the first one to a freak...

Not the way you want to find a calf

I found a heifer with her head stuck in a tree one day.  The tree had a split in it that was wider at the bottom and narrowed at the top. She must have laid down next to it, then stood up with her head inside.  If she would have laid back down she would've been free.  It took four of us to get...

    Trying an Angus bull

Thought so...saw the DVF brand on the one in the background and sounds like some of their breeding..  (thumbsup)  I've got 5 females from Deer Valley.  One is a Bismarck.  I have used Bismarck quite a bit, but haven't used 5050.  You should like the cross.  I'm using a Shorthorn bull on our...

    Meyers Blacktop

I was looking through our semen tank today and found one straw of this simmental bull.  Our neighbor used to have a few simmental cows and kept his semen on our tank, so I'm sure it was his.  What cananyone tell me about this bull?  Any pics of him?  Any relevance to use today?
