    Skin Conditioning

Check show rules. If this is a local fair pig make sure they don't have any rule against using oils/conditioners. If you win and they pull hair you may get in trouble. At our county fair it is I believe a 3 or 5 year ban from showing.

    Simmental heifer breeding suggestions

I usually go with angus on a first calf heifer. The Answer worked really well for me. If you want to use simmental UNO Mas would be a really good bet. Sexed semen if you can get it.

The craziest thing you have seen at a cattle show

Not at a show but at a sale when I was a kid my dad and I were standing around looking at bulls when this rickety pickup goes by the pens with cattle racks on the back. My grandfather who used some words I won't repeat exactly said I hope they are not planning on hauling anything in that. Well...

    Oldest bull in the tank

600u 3 units Just so you know firesweepranch that 600u is 125 a unit if you can still get it through sek. My opinion he may be the best simmy bull ever. Awesome females! Use him on a really pretty dream on. He will work on a lot of different cows. I bought him to flush with.

what to breed angus cow to

I would say Choppin Wood but I don't think she has enough frame. He will downsize them allot, but he has allot of power.

    Comfort Zone or Maternally Made

My comfort zone calves are really nice. He will extend and clean up their front ends. I have simmy/angus cows and he worked great on them. I used him again and will be buying more semen.

I don't know you nor have ever met you but your posts on here have been valuable to both the veterans of the cattle industry and the newcomers. I know it is easier said than done but keep that...

    Shorthorn x suggestions

Thanks so much for the suggestions. My base herd is diverse. I have some Nichols legacy g151 influence, upgrade, occ legend, gvc suh, among others. I liked the look of saskvalley yesterday, and muridale buster 2nd. I am not very knowledgeable on shorthorns and their pedigrees so I appreciate the...

    Shorthorn x suggestions

This has probably been covered on here before but opinions do change. I have sim x angus cows and want to infuse some shorthorn. I need cows that will keep, good udders, low bw, depth of body. I don't care about the color. I want good mothers. I really liked the pics I saw on the my girls post...
