Of the Bulls you mentioned I am a WS A Step Up fan. The ones I had this year came small and are growing well. Of the mature heifers I have seen some really good ones. I think calves will have show ring appeal as well as be really functional. I am using him again.

The Yardley High Regard calves have looked really good. He also has an outcross pedigree to a lot of simmentals out there right now.

Texas Tornado X WMW heifer calf one day old

Was sent a photo of a calf out of him that may be one of the powerful calves I have ever seen. It was out of a WMW cow. I will see if I can get it off my phone. It is colored just like its sire.

I would use a synch protocol that works for you. If you think she heated on a certain date then use the    co-synch to give you a time to AI standing heat or not. I would try to start the synch when it would most closely coincide with her (as far as you can guess) normal cycle.

If the problem becomes more widespread does anyone know of a feed additive or mineral that I can give to the cows that will help. I did use the brother from select. After I saw the calves my lawn mower took care of the rest of my inventory. I was not impressed. He did not click with my cows.

I average between 70 and 75% on timed AI using CiDrs. (Single service) 90% on natural heats.

I never used him personally. I do have a few friends who did. They were able to get a few cows stuck to him but out of two flushes and 18 unfertilized eggs they had had enough. I have also herd others say they had bad luck with him.

I would get him semen checked first. At least then you will know if he is producing viable sperm. Even then some of the young bulls I have seen collected have trouble getting any frozen. Good luck!

B-12 vitamin really perked up two calves for me last year that were very similar to what you are describing.

The Uno Mas calves have been really nice. Almost everyone I know around here has used him. No reports of monster calves and they look really good. I would definitely recommend him.
