Whatever Happened With The $10,000 Matt Lautner Challenge?

Maybe someone was hoping everyone had forgotten about it.

    donor prospects

I think what they mean is every calf born in America is a donor "prospect". Buy a calf and flushing it, makes it a donor, BUT not neccesarily donor quality. I'm sure every embryologist in America has seen a cow get loaded off the trailer and thought " I guess they decided to bring a recip along"...

Wes Hudson - Preview Show Judge

He doesn't care who owns them and he has never been scared to use the best calf in his opinion (even if it was a calf)

    Damar Sale

Wasn't there but I have seen the picture of Working Man and Houston. From the pictures they look like different type of bulls. I thought Working Man looked like a good bull, but Houston got me really excited with all of the bone and power.

On second check Lot 21 was $14,000. I don't think either one of us will make it as a typist :)

    THF state fair grand champions??

According to my math you will get 75% carriers. 50% will have 1 TH gene. 25% will be double carriers with 2 TH genes, also known as DEAD calves. 25% will be free of TH. If you breed a TH clean animal to a TH carrier, then you will get 50% with 1 TH gene. 50% will be TH free. If you have the...

    THF state fair grand champions??

It would be interesting to see what percentage of the top 5 steers at the big shows are positive for TH? I'm guessing at least 80% are. Maybe someone needs to be in charge of researching this.

    What simmy bull

Aftershock and Maximus are proven clubby mama makers. LBS The Foreman is a young up and coming bull who has already produced some nice females in his first 2 crops. An unproven bull who you might try who is bred to be a female maker is Griswold's Whizard bull. He is a Steel Force X Chill Factor...

    Tails

I'm with Olson on this one. Sometimes you have one who is always a little nervous in the washrack, grooming chute, or in the ring. NO matter how much they have been worked with. You can't make one not swish it's tail by working with it more. Sometimes maybe, always never. I had an EXT hfr last...

    Recip program

Don't buy recips at a sale barn unless they are having a herd sell out from a reputation ranch. You're just asking for someone else's problems. You are better off buying private treaty from a reputable commercial cattle breeder. Good recips who milk adequate, aren't crazy, and fertile are...

    ZKCC BLACK POWDER 908W

His sire 3C Macho isn't calving ease, so I wouldn't expect him to be either.

    Blue Roan Bull Calf

Nice pair. You could breed her alot of ways and get a good one.

    Hairy Bear Heifer

Northern Improvement for the 1st calf. His style with her depth and power could make a great one. I'd breed her to Monopoly after that
