i wouldn't get him wet if the water freezes before it fall of him  (lol) But you'd be surprized at how cold you can wash them as long as you have a blower. getting them wet might make them shiver but if they stay wet thats where you will have problems. If its to cold at LEAST put some show sheen...

I would suggest for daily hair care that the least you should do is rinse him a couple times a day, put show sheen and/or kleen sheen in his hair then blow it out. also wash with that bright lights shampoo, but I've never used it but heard it works really good! And I dont know how often you use...

My first year my older sister said buy a scotch comb, and some dawn soap to wash with. :D As long as u already know about feeders and the food lol To make a calf happy he needs to be dry and clean, and in the summer keep them cool!! my first year after about may my calf went off half his grain...

they look like they have alot of potental to me,  honostly i've seen ALOT of calves a little earlier and they were all very green but now I've got pictures sent to me and they look completely different!! Its really amazing what time alot of special care and grain does for them! Get them clean...

Good job with the steer but it makes me think about my fair. The calf that took grand was such a powerful steer I'm thinking i'm gonna have to spend some major money to beat them next year!! this was grand steer very nice!  GO ALLISON!

Hi everyone!!! My fair is this week and I was wondering about showmanship? I know you need to walk where they need you. And set up quickly, and always know where your judge is, but thats pretty much it. Any pointers??? Anything that will make me stand out?? Thanks!!!
