TM Gus x TPS Coronet Leader 21st Heifer

Nice little heifer you got there!! What are you plans for her? You going to keep or sell? If she turns out like her mother you will have a great down the road. I hope you post updated pics of her as she grows!!  <beer>

    Clubby Angus bull?

Sp The Answer 813 (We got a tremendous calf out of him last year. Showed and sold well.), SAV Brilliance (you can get sexed on him), SAV Pioneer or Bismarck, Hoover Dam and Kessler's Frontman (not sure if you are looking for a show look but I like his calves.) Hope this helps. These are bulls I...

ARD RIDGE DR FEEL GOOD Has anyone used this bull and if so how did the calves turn out? I really like the looks of this bull. He's a Doc Holiday son. http://www.cattlevisions.com/Chi/DrFeelGood.php

    Angus Bull

Well done!  <party> I like the background too. Are you all going to collect him to sell semen? I wish you the best with him! I think he has loads of potential! When was he born?

    Angus Bull

Not a bad looking bull! I would like to see him a little straighter in the backline but overall he looks good!  <party> Did you all buy him or is he bred and owned? Also who is out of?

    Cow rejecting calf

OH Breeder had really good advice and I would try that! Here is another idea for you too. I have never done this personally but I know people who would use their herding dogs and put the cow/calf in small pen, barn etc and have the dog stay with them. Not sure how they went about the whole...

    SAV Final Answer 0035

FA you will get some good replacements. I think if you have it to use you can't go wrong. I think you will like the like the results! He still looks good at 11 years old too I have to say. I like the Schaffs bulls a lot and we have a Pioneer calf on the way in May. Really excited about this...

    Sexed Semen

A lot of places are going to start to do away with sexed semen. This is coming from the guys that AI. There isn't a huge demand for it as they thought it would be and it's still not 100%. Who knows it maybe just all talk too. I know you don't do Angus but if you want a few I'll list them.

Breeding suggestions on this PB Angus heifer ?

I really like SP The Answer. Calving ease and has style. Our best calf was out of him last year and did well in the ring!

Duff New Edition and Grandmaster Bulls

I would be a little leery with using New Edition on a heifer but that's just me. If I was going to go with a Duff for a heifer I would go with either Duff Body Builder 763 or DCC New Look 3001. Both are good looking bulls. Keep in mine these bulls will downsize on frame. Good luck.  <beer>

    Bottle Calf

I wouldn't say she is dink now. I have thought about that too if she is worth it or not. The 23 and 25 months of age is what we go by for regular heifers. I could have bred her this fall but I want a March or April calf so that's why She'll be about 2 1/2. She will be bred with the rest in about...

    Bottle Calf

Exactly. I hope she does well. She is looking pretty good now we still have her on feed. I held her back for breeding. She will be about 2 1/2 when we breed her. I wanted to make sure her weight was there and get a little size on her. She was a twin but luckily her sib was a heifer! Well I know...

Any thoughts on runny eyes on heifer?

Is she doing any snotting around the nose too? Are they eating off of round bales or square bales? Do you have cattle on the other side of the fence that they can interact with? The reason I ask is because we had 2 that ended up with small colds. Their eyes water bad starting first and they were...

    Bottle Calf

Pretty interesting. We took these in cause dad would get phone calls from other farms that a mother didn't take the calf. LOL All have been sold but one and that was in mine. You are right about them not being up too par with the rest. She doesn't have the growth that a calf would have on a real...

    Bottle Calf

We have had our share of bottle feds and we always feed them up til about 8 weeks of age. We also had them on high protein sweet feed mixture. We never put blankets on them and never used heat lamps. We just made sure they were bedded pretty well. We would use straw and wood shavings that we get...
