Well, it doesn't really matter how they look in some cases, it's how they work.  I guess people learn how the bulls work from other people using those certain bulls.  I heard once that Heat Wave was a cripple bad, and look how he works.  Just look back at every show in the country and his calves...

We go there every year, and it is the biggest show in North Dakota.  It is probably about 4 times bigger than the Winter Show.  There are always people there from a numerous number of states.  One of the highlights while your down there are the sales, those have really gotten big down there. ...

BUMP....any opinions out there

The first one is a Monopoly steer that i will be showing this year.  He is out of a shorthorn/maine cow.  The second is a Point Taken steer, that is out of an angus cow.(she is the mother of my steer that I won the NDSF with in 08). He will be in the North Star Classic Club Calf sale in Valley...

Nice steer...I would suggest just maybe shaving down or trimming up his navel a little better...but thats getting picky...good job with the steer, and if hes been in a cooler he sure dont have much hair.

If I remember right, i think I remember seeing that steer on one of the Sunseeker adds in one of the recent showcircuits....so maybe thats why?

Shes alright...not real pretty but just not much wrong with her besides that....would like to change her bone and srtucture underneath her on both ends.

Not trying to steal the spotlight...but i would like to post a pic of a NP x Angus that looks just like the one that schoenbi has....Hope you have luck with yours!!!

Also another couple pictures of the calves.  The thing that we like about the Gus calves is that they are bone with so much bone and a nice hip and thickness.  The JPJ heifer is probably the best heifer.  And the last two pics are the cows that the 2 steers are out of, The first cow is a Sin...

Im from Minot, ND...we dont have nearly the mess you guys do...theres a lot of snow up here and some flooding but like i said not nearly as much as down by the Fargo area.

I forgot to add that she is out of a Kool/Red angus Cow.

Here are some pictures of a Blue Blood heifer that we sold last fall...she was really good, and also sound as a cat....also really really really tame.

im gonna have to agree with zach...he needs to learn whos boss, and having the halter on him all the time is a big problem.  Its just like wen a calf tries to run away with you wen they are big, hit them, teach them whos boss, thats what we do anyways...and i dont think it is animal abuse.

We had a shorthorn cow have a 152 lb calf out of a maine bull, then the next year she had a 160 lb calf out of Salute....Both bull calves....that later got bannded.
