I don't think I have ever been more proud as a father to my 9 year old son. This weekend was our county fair and my son's first ever show. He showed a summer yearling Angus heifer. He won his class and overall Angus. Then he went in for Supreme... and ended up with Reserve. (clapping)...

I have two cows in standing heat they started standing approx. 9-10 this morning and are still standing now. I have a ball game to go to here shortly. Do I breed them now (5) or wait for 4 hours (9) when I get home????

Yes she is slowly showing more and more. Just wondering if the gestation on Shorthorns are longer. This is our first Shorthorn. We have registered Angus and a few crosses. They are always on time or a few days early. UTC... what is the sire on that calve? All ok with it?

I have a bred Shorthorn heifer out of Salute. She is bred to Jake's Proud Jazz. According to my gestation chart she was due 4/27- 4/30 What is the normal gestation of a Shorthorn? Should I start to worry?
