    National Stock Shows

I can't go to denver because it conflicts with Fort Worth. The NAILE and American Royal are still possibilities though but I'd prefer to pic one because of expenses.

    keeping the hair!

I can only say that if its not lice and this is important enough to you then you had better try your best to keep him clean, brushed, and cool as much as possible. Unless he has some kind of fungus... just thinking.

    Beet Pulp

I agree with everything that's been said on here; beet pulp can really give a full look to one and fill its top. But if your showing exotic cattle just be aware that it can also enlarge the brisket. I wouldn't worry about that though unless your calf just has too much leather in the first place.

Breeding Suggestions for this Sim/Angus cow?

If it were me I would use defiant. He is a half simi bull out of grizzly bw: 84, that should help in calving. He is owned by lautner farms, and felt farms. All the calves that I have seen out of him are hairy, clean fronted, deep, and have a good or decent flank.

Monopoly v. Eye Candy -- Calving Ease

Eye Candy's bw was 90 monopoly's bw was 96. If u need more hair eye candy would be my choice but monopoly is known to sire some real great muscled ones that r pretty darn hairy too.

What do you think of my show heifer?

What do you think of her? Any suggestions for breeding? She is a pb simmy so I'd like to use a pb simmy bull. Good and bad comments are both welcome. Thanks!

    Steel Force VS. UPGRADE

Not that I am oppossed to think of other bulls, but Steel force sired the reserve grand Champion simmy at jr nationals and many others there, and upgrade sired the Grand Champion Simmy at jr. nationals; i wouldn't call either common.

    Steel Force VS. UPGRADE

She is a real stout heifer with great body, but needs to be cleaned up in her brisket, leveled at her tale head, maybe longer necked, and her back two feet bend inward at the joints.

    Steel Force VS. UPGRADE

I've been looking at two pb simmental bulls, SVF Steel Force S701 VS. MR NLC UPGRADE U8676, to flush a pb Simmental to. Any thoughts?
