For the past three weeks when ever I walk my steer he does this almost the whole time, does anyone know why they do this?? My past steers use to do it sometimes but not nearly as much as he does!

The first picture is the day I got him, which was July 17th. He was born October 12th, 2012. And the second picture was him this morning. How do you think he is improving or what do you think still needs to be done?

What exactly will a neck sweat do??

My steer is  MaineXChi-maine, so he should be pretty fluffy, and he is somewhat. I rinse him every morning, and wash and blow dry him once a week, what else could I do to enhance his hair and make it more show worthy?

I only have 4 months left with my last steer and he is the only one I have on my property. I am looking at hay to get him, I want something that will be the best for him, but also cheap. I've considered getting a role of hay, but is that too much? And will it rot before he can eat it all? I live...
