I have seen some really nice Foundation Simmy's that are Midland daughters. Good milkers easy doing. Like they said earlier it all depends on what direction your trying to go in the industry with the high costs of production we need easy fleshing effiecient momma cows and the midland daughters...

We always have plenty of Fescue to feed in our parts but we have been trying to get coastal bermuda grass to feed some of the starters and show calves. They do really well but the ice storm this year kinda took its toll on the bermuda so well see. Lots of people are trying to get brewer's grain...

This is a great idea I truly think this will become more popular as time passes with the cost of fuel and stuff people need a way to view the calves that wont cost them an arm and leg to get there. Good looking calves.  (clapping)

I live on the family farm that has been recognized as a Century farm in 2003 so weve had cattle around over 100years but for me its just been 24 years of my life showing for 18years. Hopefully we can reach the next mark as well.  <hero>

I will try to get pictures tonight of the Buckcherry heifer by herself. I am really pleased with them so far they are growing well. We are trying to get them in a private treaty sale for labor day weekend otherwise we will just sell them off our farm in our private treaty sale in October. ...

The first picture is of 2 Buckcherry's. The cream steer is a March Buckcherry out of a Char/Simmy cow. The black heifer is a Buckcherry out of a Simmy/angus cow. The next pic is the Cream Steer by himself. Then is a PB Simmental Bull out of JF Shock and Awe x CCR Uma( Craftsman cow ) and Finally...

I know in Central Missouri most of the 1st cutting clover and alfalfa is still in. Were just doing grass hay this year going to cut fescue seed off then bale cause the nights have been so cool lately and  the undergrowth is just starting to come on. I have seen quite a few fields go down already...
