I crossed some of our Angus cows this year. I used Hired Man, WMW, Hairy and Meredes Benz. Very excited for next springs calves. I crossed up a few last year and got a Johnny Walker Red and Paddy O'Malley. Love the JWR calf.

I have seen a lot of questions asking what Shorthorn bull I should use. I have never seen anybody suggest Salute. What is everybody's feelings on him? Why not suggest him? Reason I ask is I bought a very nice Salute heifer last fall.

Well our steer did well at the county show this past weekend. He was 3rd overall steer. We are very pleased I had a number of people come up to me and ask about steer calves for next year.

This weekend is our show. I too would like to change his depth of quarter. Otherwise I think he should compete well. Our steer show is pretty tough though!

I believe everything you said, except the moon thing! I have a neighbor that always bands when they are born for the convince reason. I also believe they grow better in tact.

I bred one of my heifers yesterday at about 2pm. I saw her standing at about 9am. This morning I was walking through and looking for heats and bleed offs and she was bleeding off at about 6am. 16 hrs later!!! Is there a chance she will stick or no chance at all?

Sorry for the mess. Wow! I just could never see my grandpa and uncle ever do that. That is very inconsiderate to others and their property, let alone it is his own barn.

WSCC, I like benz alot, that's why we bought semen to cross some of our reg. Angus with him. I think and hope they will produce some good clubby mama cows for us. What would you rate his caving ease at? Would you use him on some heifers?

Is there a specific type of feed some of you use for helping hair growth?
