How is harvest in your part of the world?

Small grains are mostly done here. Beans are close. Haven't seen any silage corn done here yet which is odd due to the weather..should be starting any day. JIT and Okotoks.........feel for you guys........I guess Corb Lunds song is right for this year............"the Chev got stuck and the Ford...

    Dehorning Paste

We've used the paste. We would put on the paste and then pull out the duct tape and cover them up.....keeps them from getting it off and rain or snow from washing it off...........Red Green would be proud.

There should be a death penalty express lane

I couldn't agree more JIT. Bring back the death penalty and clean up some of the lowlife that we, tax payers, are forced to keep. My father worked for Corrections Canada for 30 years. He must be rolling over in his grave when crap like this makes headlines.

    CUMBERLAND GAY LAD x

That's the answer I was expecting JIT......as much as I liked Rodney my wife wouldn't be real appreciative of me trading the farm. When the time is right I'm sure you will use those 2 vials wisely. He was a site to be seen when he was on display at the Experimental Farm in Ottawa.

    Shorty hf bulls

lol..........JIT, I'm starting to think aj may be more likely to be related to some of those chickens............seems to do a lot of crowing and I'm wondering if the volume of  grey matter is not similar to a chicken. Thanks CAB. I didn't mean to generalize my comment as I have many friends in...

    CUMBERLAND GAY LAD x

Nice calves coyote. Alta Cedar used a Cumberland Gay Lad son that they had bred......worked alright for them too. JIT.....any chance you'd sell some of your Rodney semen.

    Shorty hf bulls

I can see this thread has gone downhill big time. aj...........it's not that many years ago that anything less than a 100 lb bwt everyone considered should be knocked on the head and put out of it's misery. Not just in the Shortys, but every breed. There are bound to be some high bwt calves show...

    Shadybrook Catalog`

I had a good walk through of the sale calves a couple of weeks ago. There are some excellent show prospects in the group. As usual at Shadybrook, a class act done right.

I have to agree with OH Breeder. 4-1-2-3. I'm looking at them as breeding heifers.

    Horned Herefords

I've had the pleasure of clipping at Adams Hirsche's on a few occasions for their fall sale as well as the spring sale in Oklahoma. The horned cattle are by far superior to the polled anyday of the week. We'd clip 100 bull calves, that were very green broke, tied to gates in their sale barn. ...
