    Is W/C Wide Track Dead?

His days were numbered, he suffered a scrotal hernia while on lease and it was just a matter of time. We saw him at stud many times, and you could see the hernia easily. I am sure that was also part of the decision to pull him.

    Best Simmental Bulls right now

Genex has not set the price yet that I know of, so I am not sure. A good friend of mine shared with me today she has had several Iron Hide calves, and they come small and are some of her best. Looking at his numbers, I would use him on a heifer, but not a tiny one.

I just heard that Genex is leasing Ironhide, a white faced half blood. He is in quarantine in Strafford right now, I hope to get up to see him in the next few weeks.

    HELP!

We had one abort last week, she was 177 days bred with an embryo calf, a bull with a white face about the size of a small dog (like a chihuahua)  :( She is coming into heat tonight, 7 days later. Vet said that was normal, and no need for antibiotics unless she showed signs of infection. We sent...

    On line sales problems

I have bought lots on line, and never had a problem. Most of my embryos were bought online, and a lot of semen. I am glad I have not had problems.... I wish all were handled the way our purchases have been!

"Cowboy" has been in a bad wreck

Just logging on after several days gone with Regional cattle shows. We are praying for him here, please keep us updated on his progress. As others have said, he made a big impact on our thoughts on AI and flushing over the years. We pray that God heals his body quickly and he can get back in...

    Simmy bull - W/C Wide Track 694Y

Put him back on your list, you will really like his calves! This was from Genex this morning.... but I heard it a few days ago that he tested clear. Important update regarding 1SM00131 W/C WIDE TRACK 694Y: Further testing indicates the bull is free of Contractural Arachnodactyly (CA). Genex...

    Lock N Load

She calved the end of October, had a pretty nice bull calf. We just weaned him this weekend, he was 690, if I remember correctly, no creep and 6 months old. We like him, and have left him a bull. This is a horrible picture, because I just sheared off his baby hair and washed him, and the middle...

    Twins

Or, you could let her raise them both. Here is a pic I took this morning. This cow has twinned three years in a row, and has raised two sets (one set we lost). These heifer calves are almost 6 months old, on NO creep, and growing great. I bet they EACH weigh 550. The cow usually weighs in at...

Double Black Clubby or Simmental Bull

Did you mean Sheriff Taylor? The ASA link only takes you to the herd book, and I though since the poster before you was talking about Cut Above (Fat Butt) you were talking about him. But he is not listed as homo black or homo polled. And the ABS link takes you to Sheriff Taylor.  Just...

    AI question

We have a nice 10 year old cow that has calved every year, so 8 calves on the ground. We have not been able to stick her AI (we tried several years of AI), so we put embryos in her (we bought her as a 6 year old). I really want a heifer from her before she is too old, so the person we bought her...
