Had one last year that was this way after keeping them in a 12 x 12 pen with hobbles on heifer for 2 weeks she finally decided to be a mom and weaned off the biggest calf in the herd.

I have an I-80 out of a Monopoly cow due Monday with a Gucci calf (calf will be 3/4 Maine),  I will let you know how that works.

The way I look at it is that I know what my kids can or can't handle. I could be like the tractor or donkey, but that doesn't help the kids either. If I have one that I don't think the kids can handle I put it on the donkey for a day or two and that is usually all it takes and the kids take it...

I dont know anything about lambs, but i get 10mg capsules of melatonine and give my daughters 1000# steer thats a little crazy 10 of these every morning, it helps take the edge off him and lets him relax enough for her to handle him safely.

Our Heatwave x Angus first calf heifer finally calved yeserday (9 days past due). The attached pic is her I-80 bull calf at about an hour old. 98.5 # unassisted. And she seems to be milking good!
