Thanks, if you feel like I'd be better with which ever method I'm more comfortable with, then I'd go with the Calcrate because I band all bulls about 500#  and always give antitetnus shot.

I've never shown a steer, always heifers, my brother-in-law would like to do a steer next year for kids.  I raise the calves, always on our bull calves we band with Calcrate bander. I would like to know if this is a good idea for a show steer, or should I knife the calf?

I have a cow who was standing at 3:00p.m.  When should I A.I. her?  I don't want to breed her at 3:00a.m.  Is it o.k. to wait until 6  when it is beginning to get daylight? Thanks

Does anyone have any experience with Milkman heifers?  If so, do they milk very well as cows?  I have on and she has her first calf and doesn't have much of an udder at all.  I'm curious if it will get better as she ages or do they not milk very well.  Are they, "Milkman females", not good...

I should have worded my post a little better, she will have calved once already. I have her A.I.'d to The Answer an Angus bull.  So this will be her second calf.  She is a Milkman out of a Cigar cow. Don't know how to post a pick.

Hello, I'm looking for an opinion on a red bull to breed a 1st calf heifer, who is smoke in color.  In breeding I would like to clean her up in the front end and give her more rib shape and body depth.  Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
