This calf was born this morning.  At 6 am it was up and nursing.  Went to work.  I went out at 5 pm tonight to tag and weigh it and found this. Found nothing else.  No traces of blood or anything.  Just the bottom half of a calf.

Just bought a used skidsteer that needs new tires.  I have been pricing tires for the last two days over the phone.  Is it possible to get by with 8 ply, or do they pretty much  have to be 12 ply?  Found a guy that has 8 ply tires of the same brand as another that has 12 ply at about $300 cheaper.

I normally wait 45 days as a rule. I have a cow that calved 35 days ago, and was in heat this morning.  She had an unassisted uneventful heifer calf birth.  She is in great shape. I more than likely will run her through the chute this evening, but was just wondering what everyone else does.
