So we have a yearling heifer that we are trying to drop her flank and get more belly.  The breeder told me to up her cottonseed hulls to 4 scoops and give 2 scoops of precon.  I was given advice from a nutritionalist to switch those....2 scoops CSH and 4 precon.  Thoughts??

For show heifer ration, this is what a local mill mixes up.  What needs to be added to it if anything? 

Yes for show heifers.  I just thought it was standard that everyone eventually switches from precon to a grower ration for their main source of feed.  Our heifer last year got to fat, she was on fitters edge and cottonseed and free choice hay. 

I am currently feeding our 7 month old heifer 13 lbs of precon a day and 2 scoops of cotton seed hulls.  How long do you leave them on the precon as the main ration?

6 month old heifers, right now they are on precon and free choice hay.  Target date is FEB. 2022

I went to my local feed mill and asked them about making the aaok feed ration.  They told me they have something similar.  These are the two options.  The AP 60 is pellet and the West Texas is textured.  Cost is $11 and $13 a bag.  Are either a good option with me adding anything that is lacking?
