We have an April Walks this Way heifer, also two heifers born a couple weeks ago , to a simmi bull one is out of a Dr. Who and the other one is out of a Monoploy.  Don't know the ages that your looking for, but thought I'd let you know what i had.  Thanks, Hess Farm

I called a well know vet in Ohio, he said also not to use on breed heifers.  I found out the hard way.  Got her off of it, when she came back into heat this weekend!

Is Grow and Shine okay to use on pregnant heifers?  It says on the bottle not to give to pregnant women.  We have started her on this last week, we are rebreeding her tonight.  Can't find any info except on bottle.

We've lost 3calves out of 11 cows.  Had a nice 1-80 bull calve, his mother was a Hollywood (Heatwave) that won't let him suck.  We can't get him to take the bottle or suck into the bucket,  but he runs around.  What a year!!!  We are blaming alot of this on the drought in the hay and pastures...

Sorry, my computer went nuts.  We are tubing him now and he is running around, nice bull calve 1-80.  Any suggestions?  We use to raise holestein bucket calves never had this kind of troubles. 

This is the second calve this season that won't suck, his mother was a Hollywood heifer, she wouldn't leave him nurse. She hardly has any milk, cause she goes back to Heatwave. First and last on our farm. Can't get him to take the bottle, or suck our fingers with his head

We also like Tiny Tim,  We won Grand Champion home grown spring yearling heifer at the Maine Junior Nationals last year.  She just had an nice easy-out heifer, she has alot of milk and a very good mother.  Easy-out is a good light weight bull that is really working for us also.

What was this bull's birth weight? Does anyone know?

We have a Monopoly Money heifer that is two weeks old, she is going to be a dandy!!  Her mother is a p.b. Maine  (Whiskey for my Men)    Going to bred the big girls to him this spring.  Was going to get Monoploy 2, but it is up too  $50.00 a straw.

What is the difference?  How can you show in the breeds, then go into the next ring and show as a market heifer?  I thought a market heifer was thick, muscled,big boned, fit like a steer.etc.  I don't agree with this at all, Ohio has done this at it's shows this year.  People that I've talked to...
