    fbf1 combustible

We got along great with him, but are not using him again. For me they were all too open in the shoulder and tight in their structure. Now that being said they had enough power, belly, bone, and hair that their faults didn't bother quite a few people. We sold 18,000 dollars worth on 3 hd and have...

    Combustible Hfr

Thanks Scott! I need to make it down to go through your cattle one of these days. I just need to make plans because I'm terrible at following through and end up just finding something else to do around here!

    Combustible Hfr

I have seen people asking about calves from Combustible so here is a pic of one of our ET hfrs that was Champion % calf at SD State Fair. Her full sib was reserve and other got 3rd out of 6 (all 3 full sibs were in same class) A really small sampling at our place as we only used two straws AI...

    Question for Cattle Repro Gurus

If you gave GnRH 7 days ago and that was when u had her checked and she had a follicle, I would go ahead with the Lut. Even if your GnRH was below par she should be far enough in her cycle to give her Lut. Personally, if you are having trouble catching her I would put a CIDR in her and force...

    Denver 2014

I saw Iron Hide (Lock N Load) Half Blood on the hill before I left. They had him tied in with the Angus just to get him washed he looked really nice standing in the stall. 10 days kind of runs together so I can't even remember who had him

Make sure to go to the website and like us on Facebook I uploaded some more pictures of sale calves tonight. Also, went through the rest of the calves today and this Unstoppable x Strictly Business granddaughter steer probably should have been in the sale, but I guess I missed him. First $1200...

    new website

Thanks guys! We wanted to use Unstoppable his first year, but we don't AI all that many clubby so he just didn't get used. Maine influence has always crossed really well with our Simmental so that was another reason for wanting to use him. So I guess I could shorten it up a little but yes this...

    Hard pull

Technically banimine isnt labled for pain. It works and yes 1cc/100. In my experience ET calves seem to go over due date so if ultrasounded confirmed i induce recips on due date if they are clubby. Glad u got it pulled without hip lock but sounds like next time u might call the vet

    ULTRASOUND ON CHAROLAIS --

From what i have seen if u raise continental cattle anything with IMF in the 3 or higher is good, but IMO u have to look at sire groups and ratios on them as a whole. Ur bull that ratioed 130 is a standout, but if his brothers only ratioed 90 then u pry cant count on his sire adding marbling...

What do ya'll think of this exciting bull calf?

IMO u might as well leave him a bull. He doesnt appear powerful enough to make a steer so if u r looking for a premium your best chance IMO is leaving him intact although to me he really looks like a sale barn steer

    angus bull to breed to

I have seem some very nice cattle sired by Bushs Unbeilavable. All sorts of cows but all the calves were big bodied and a cool look with some stoutness. A couple were unsound but they were clubby bred on dams side. I was impressed enough i am going to breed some hfrs and cows to him looks like...

    Simmi Bulls- Comments welcome

Thank you! I hope you are right it is a little stressful with the drought being so extensive and the number of cows that are already going to the sale barn hopefully there will still be a demand. You need one LN? ;)

    Simmi Bulls- Comments welcome

108 bull is a Upgrade x Chestnut Princess 66. His donor dam has had many Angus calves that were high sellers these are the first Simmi calves out of her. Ryan Johnson now owns that cow so there will be more to come from her in the SimAngus. We are really excited about this bull!
