I think that some people do not want kids to buy steers that have been through a show.  If they think that this is going to stop people from buying steers I do not think it will work.  People that buy steers will have to just buy them earlier.

I am hearing that some 4-H clubs and Regional shows are putting in rules that 4-Her's have to own (declare) their steers before the end of September for June July shows.  When I was in 4-H we had to declare our steers at the end of December.  What are you local rules?  This is in Canada so any...

Put a humbug (nose clamp) in that will usually help with attitude but it has to be used correctly.  Do not pull on it unless you need to and only light pressure when you have to.  We used them all the time when showing bulls.  If you use one put it in and get him use to it before the show.  We...

I just got a new set of Andis excel 5 speed clippers that have the large box on the end of the cord.  Has anyone had problems with it not being durable.  Can you put a rubber covering on it?  If it breaks how hard is it to replace.

I would say he has a normal width of base.  His hocks do not even come close together when he is on the move.  I have seen wider width of base on some Walks Alone calves but they almost look like they bow out.  He is very young so time will tell.  Thank you for your opinions

In Canada the steer market is not as strong as the US.  We have sold a steer for $3400 at Agribition.  Some steers get over the $5000 mark at Agribition.  If he could produce me a few 2500 steers he will be well worth it. We will see how he turns out and grows.
