    Bulls don’t live long.

most of the clubby bulls are designed to be show steers, they just got "lucky" enough to keep their nuts. they are never supposed to live past 14 months of age

question about a steer that is afraid of show halter

I agree with the chain idea. I actually swap out the chain leads for a black rope on most of my show halters. I am brutal for not trying chains at home so using a rope takes away some of the surprise.

    Is Steer Worth Showing?

I'm also in Ontario and if he is quiet and going to be used to get a young member started I would use him. THe guinea's looks doomed so you wil most likely be going to somewhere like redbrand or Ilderton fair. He would fit in at some of those smaller shows. Except for maybe half a dozen better...

Yes we are. We feel with his ideal shoulder angle, exceptionally smooth make up and exceptional skull shape he should not be a problem for her. While I Agree that the CE genetics on the her dams side are less then ideal, I also have enough practice experience with her immediate cow family to...

    Nose rings

I refuse to show a bull WITHOUT a ring. If is lucky enough to keep its nuts after weaning around our place it gets a ring. No matter how docile they are they are still Bulls. Safety first!
